Welcome to Loong Grilled Fish Seafood Restaurant, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Jinjang Utara. Located at 12-14, Jalan Jinjang Aman 2, this restaurant offers a delightful journey into the world of seafood, where freshness meets innovation. As you step inside, the inviting ambiance and the infectious laughter of the lady boss create an atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease.

What sets Loong Grilled Fish apart is not just the quality of their dishes but also the engaging personality of the staff. Customers rave about the lady boss, whose humour and charm brighten the dining experience. According to Susan Chai, she had patrons laughing as she introduced unique menu items like "Michael Jackson Tofu" and "Obama Tofu"—names as fun as the flavours are delicious. The dishes themselves are nothing short of a treat, bursting with flavour and satisfaction.

Among the standout menu items, the signature grilled fish shines brightest. Remy Ng described their stingray as "good and fresh," emphasizing that it requires no overpowering sauces to steal the show—like a pretty girl without her makeup, it stands out in its natural charm. Each grilled fish dish is meticulously prepared, ensuring that its innate flavours come through beautifully.

Crab lovers will also find their paradise here, with three types of crab dishes that promise to deliver a full-on "crab freedom" experience. Customers have lauded the amazing taste that pairs perfectly with friendly service, proving that Loong is a haven for seafood enthusiasts. The fried vermicelli with Lala clams is another must-try, showcasing a delightful blend of seasoning that leaves diners wanting more.

Beyond seafood, their steamed frogs in chicken essence and stir-fried Brussels sprout shoots have garnered attention as well. Lee Antony noted that the cooking style here is a rarity, further emphasizing the restaurant's commitment to preserving traditional methods while infusing them with fresh flavours.

While the food presentation might not win awards, the taste and quality are undeniably above average, as pointed out by diner Lay See Hooi. The restaurant's mission remains clear: to serve delicious food that leaves a lasting impression.

老板娘超幽默,介绍菜单的时候笑翻我们 Some of the dish names were wild, like “Michael Jackson Tofu” and “Obama Tofu” Had to try them… and they were actually really tasty! The lady boss was hilarious when introducing the menu — we couldn’t stop laughing! Got our full-on crab freedom here — we ordered three types of crab dishes and every single one was so flavorful and satisfying. One of the must-tries: the “3D Fish” — tender, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back again for round two!

We tried the signature grilled fish 10/10.. we chose the stingray.. as described by the lady boss good and fresh fish does not need any overwhelming sauce to cover it.. like pretty gal without their make up.. the grilled fish didn’t disappoint at all. We also ordered the fried vermicelli with Lala clams 9/10.. and I have to highlight this as well.. the lady boss is extremely friendly and nice. Will definitely come back here again and try out the rest of their menu.

In my humble opinion, the restaurant ‘s main focus is to serve yummy food and therefore, might be lacking in good food presentation. Having said that, i think tastewise, the food served here is above average Tried: 1. Steamed frogs in chicken essence - literally, steamed frogs with chicken essence pour over them in front of us. Simple and basic, there was no garnishings of coriander and spring onions and fried garlic bits. The frogs were fresh though. Not bad 2. Stir fried brussel sprout shoots ( choy tam) in sweet salty garlicky sauce. The vegetables were cooked im a claypot with lots of sliced garlic and i think this is the best stir fried vegetables i have ever eaten. The leaves soaked up all the fragrant sauces . The whole dish itself was very addictive. A bit salty though. 3. Egg fooyong- the omelette was folded into half which didn’t present itself well on the plate. Tastewise , it was pretty ordinary, just like any other egg foo yong you’ll get elsewhere 4 Parking was difficult on a sunday night

Not able to find such cooking style in our country any more. The stingray was tastefully prepared to our liking, and the rest of the dishes were delicious. The boss was very friendly too

Great food at Long Grilled Fish Seafood Jinjang. The grills, crab and Lala soup were really good.

Had early dinner on Saturday and there are plenty of tables. Had sweet and sour crab, grill stingray, fried intestines, ginger frog and spinach. For 5 pax, this cost almost RM 360+. We only had 2 bowl of rice and Chinese tea. Not sure if this considered as cheap or expensive, but anything involved seafood is pricey nowadays. Has better sweet and sour crab, so not going to wow about it. But love the stingray and ginger frog. The rest is just normal. They have car park allocated for the customers, based on first come first serve. Environment wise, it's a hawker setting with a few lots. Since this is not air-conditioning, I would say it's rather pricey.

I have been patronizing loong grilled fish for over a decade. Without fail, there are a few new dishes appear in the menu in every return. Tucked away in an unassuming row of stalls, Loong Grilled Fish surprises with dishes that rival—and sometimes surpass—those from high-end restaurants. While their signature grilled crab and fish draw a steady crowd, it’s the supporting dishes that truly impress. The peppery Xiong Tong Lala stands out with its bold broth, warming and addictive, packed with generous portions of fresh clams. The deep-fried pork belly is another winner—crispy on the outside, juicy within, and perfectly seasoned. For noodle lovers, the tiny lala fried mee hoon delivers a satisfying umami punch, with just the right hint of wok hei. But don’t miss the braised pork trotter, meltingly tender with rich, gelatinous layers that pair beautifully with rice. Plating is unexpectedly elegant for a hawker-style setting, making every dish not just a meal but an experience. Loong Grilled Fish is a gem—humble in appearance, exceptional in flavor.
